Hand in Hand, Happy Follows; The opening ceremony of The First International dormitory pairing Project
As to The First International dormitory-pairing Project that obtained the final agreement, the opening ceremony formally was launched at Xiaoheshan Campus on 26th November. Basically, it was a culture exchange project which aimed to international students and Chinese students from College of Western Language and Culture.
On that day, teachers from relevant departments attended the opening ceremony, involved The Office of Students’ Affairs, The Office of Xiaoheshan Campus Management, The League committee of University, College of Western Language and Culture and College of International Education.
At the beginning of the opening ceremony, the head of The Office of Students’ Affairs made a speech to briefly introduce the project and express his best wishes.
After that, international students and Chinese students from Western Language and Culture showed us their talents and some performances with distinctive national features, including singing Moscow Nights in Russian, dancing jazz, playing the pipa and showing B-box. Finally, they were divided into several teams to join an orienteering.
According to feedback from international students and Chinese students, they enjoyed this project which actually provided an opportunity to communicate with each other. In the future, they will keep in touch and meet face-to-face for at least 5h per month. All of them are looking forward to the next meet.
