The Establishment of First International Students Union in ZISU
For the sake of managing international students well, enriching their daily life and strengthening the connection between Chinese and international students, over 40 international students voted and selected their own students union. Also, it was the First Students Union for international students in Zhejiang International Studies University. In the following days, the Students Union would operate based on international students’ opinions and take care of their dorms, sports and study. Besides, a Chairman would charge of the Dormitory Division, Culture and Sports Division, and Academic Division.
During the Campaign Speech, Zhansaya Bazarbek (Chinese name：Qin Ya) from Kazakhstan stood out. She did charity works with mum since she was a kid. At past 2 months in Zhejiang International Studies University, she assisted teacher to organize various activities, like a welcome party, sports meeting and talent show. She said that a chairman should possess three qualities: taking responsibility, listening to others’ advice and giving the right suggestion, solving the problem well. Finally, her speech and behavior made her win the vote to be the first Chairwoman in International Students Union.
